Gorebridge Community Development Trust (GCDT) is a community owned and managed independent charity aiming to help the local community in the sustainable regeneration of Gorebridge in three core areas (click on the links for more info):
- Environment
- Social
- Economy
The Trust belongs to the community and manages a wide variety of services aimed at everyone within our community. The Trust is run by the Trustees Management Committee and its members, all of whom are local residents of Gorebridge.
The Trust is involved and supports a wide variety of projects, working with partners across all sectors. GCDT receives grants to carry out projects, however, we want to become a sustainable Trust, raising income ourselves from enterprise activities. These enterprises will also provide training and employment opportunities for local residents, and all remaining revenue will be re-invested into community services such as youth activities.
David Thomas is the Trust’s Development Worker and is contactable at the Trust’s Main Street Office, Number 58, to discuss any ideas, great or small on how Gorebridge life can be made better for everyone.
