Gorebridge Today

Gorebridge is a rural community to the South of, and within easy travelling distance of Edinburgh. There are a growing variety of new home developments as well as interesting older housing, all at much more affordable prices than houses in the capital.

The town is situated just off one of the main roads north and south, the A7. The population of Gorebridge is approximately six thousand: still almost a village, and so is small enough not to be impersonal.

It is served by three Primary schools and is equidistant from Lasswade and Newbattle Community Schools. Many new families are coming to live in the community, realising the advantages of more affordable housing, a good choice of schools and attractive countryside all within a short commuting distance from Edinburgh.
