Tuesdays 9:15 - 11:15, Gorebridge Primary School, Community Room 4 The GOODIES started out as mothers meeting with our home link teacher to share information about our children moving up to primary one from nursery. Along the way we lost our home link teacher but continued to meet up on a Tuesday morning sharing tea, coffee stories and most importantly goodies. Whether it was cake or biscuits, fruit or yogurt we discovered we enjoyed talking and putting the world to rights while snacking. That is where the name came from. It started as a joke. Goodies Was Suggested (Great Opportunities Doing Interesting and Exciting Stuff). Although its suggestion was somewhat tongue in cheek it kind of stuck. Now as well as our all important cuppa, once or twice a month we have a taster session of something fun. In the past these have included relaxation techniques, arts and crafts, cooking, line dancing. Currently we are heavily involved in the Speakeasy project, which runs until the Easter holidays. After Easter we will be reverting to our tasters, if you are interested pop in and see us, if you are bored and just have nothing to do on a Tuesday morning pop in and see us.
