Gorebridge Locality Plan

Following extensive community consultation The Gorebridge Locality Plan was published in April 2010. The plan includes some 28 actions that local people wanted implemented to improve the quality of life for people in Gorebridge.

Lead agencies have been tasked to carry each action forward.  Residents are being invited to help update the plan and establish how successfully it is working. This pilot project, led by GCDT, is  recognised as a pathfinder project is now being rolled out to other Midlothian communities.

The Waverley Line

Following its closure in 1969 Gorebridge Station will re-open as part of the new Waverley line  The line will run from Edinburgh to Tweedbank in the Scottish Borders.
