Birkenside Community Partnership

Birkenside is a small housing estate at the south end of the town of Gorebridge in Midlothian.

In 2002 the residents of the village formed a Partnership aimed at restoring the community spirit that they remembered existing in the village in earlier years.The Birkenside estate comprises around 240 local authority houses, many of which are now in private ownership, Powdermill Brae which dates back to the mid 1800's, Roberston Bank on the banks of the Gore water and a small estate of private housing built in the 1990's

Birkenside Fun Day

Every August the community partnership runs a Fun Day in the local park.  There are many activities on offer and the vast majority of these are free of charge.
