Gorebridge and District Environmental Group

Many Hands Make Light Work. GADEG are looking for new members to join our group of volunteers. Come and make Gorebridge and the surrounding area more environmentally friendly.

Every three weeks, weather permitting, we go out to a selected area to do a general clean up i.e. litter picking and reporting any fly tipping  to the local authority for their action.

We have  recently been been planting bulbs in several areas around Gorebridge and the children from the Gorebridge Primary have helped us out. It really is enjoyable working in a group and a great way to get some exercise in the open air while doing something for the community.

We are conscious that a well cared for and clean environment will encourage tourism and benefit the local economy. We charge a nominal memmbership fee of £1.00 per annum. 

Our constitution requires us to spread the environmental message as widely as possible especially to the younger generation.

Join us – we need you!  Do as much or as little as you wish or are able to do.
